We went to the common ground, presented a presentation, and had dinner with the whole Design and Innovation family. It has been a stupendous week, a memorable one too. Thank you Stefan, Hana, Matt. Thank you Professor Sunil and Ramesh. Hope that our innovative engineering pursuits will not cease here!

On day 7, we gave a final touch to our prototype. We connected all the remaining circuits to the Lilipad, and tested the push buttons and the dog tags. Today we started off by linking the strip to the Arduino and testing the program. Unfortunately, there was some technical problems, which we later figured out to be short-circuiting. We were expected to get the working prototype ready for the practice presentations, however, this was not the case. Nevertheless, we presented without a working model. [...]

So today we started working on actually building the product. Our first step was to draw out the lines on the cloth material, representing the ciruit wire that would me made with conducting wire. This was a very tough job as the cloth we cut out was of very small width as a result of [...]

Our work today was divided into two parts. One involved going to the CSE to get the materials needed cut with the Laser Cutter, whereas the second one involved creating the circuit and the program that we would use for our product. We finally managed to finish programming the Wearable Anxiety Sensor. In addition, we integrated Processing and Arduino in such a way that we could see the sensorValue a.k.a the level of conductivity in the form of graph–the output for the doctor of the patients. Video

During the fifth day, two of us went to CSE and laser printed the sketches we drew the day before. There were some details on the sketch that we changed on purpose, such that the design could be more compact and easier to cut.

We were thinking about programming the shoes to light up when they reach certain number of steps. That would be the baby’s success in its first walk. The main purpose of our project is to make passionate football fans experience the maximum satisfaction possible from watching games!

Our third day was primarily spent coming up with a good design for our product. We made a rough sketch of how the product would look like along with its measurements. We decided to go with a particular kind of shape that would allow flexiblity.

The products of prisoners was really complicated so we turned back to our first client (parents and babies) and we came up with a product that will make the parents feel close to their babies while they are out at work. The product consists of 4 shoes, two worn by the baby and the other [...]

We  had a meeting with the instructors to discuss about our product and see our progress. We met for half an hour only and we tried to make our product looks easy and workable. We did a brainstorming for another half an hour then and we gave out some ideas about what are we going to do [...]
